S’mores Marshmallow Pops Recipe

  • Author: Simon
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 8 marshmallow pops 1x

Description

These S’mores Marshmallow Pops are a fun and delicious treat perfect for summer gatherings and parties. Featuring layers of marshmallows coated in smooth white and milk chocolate, then rolled in crunchy graham crackers and topped with mini marshmallow bits, these pops capture the classic flavors of a s’more in an easy-to-handle, bite-sized form.

Ingredients

Scale

Marshmallows

  • Regular or jumbo size marshmallows

Chocolate Coating

  • White chocolate morsels or vanilla-flavored almond bark
  • Milk chocolate morsels or chocolate-flavored almond bark
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening or coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)

Toppings

  • Graham crackers, crushed
  • Mini marshmallow bits

Instructions

  1. Assemble Marshmallows: Press four marshmallows onto a straw or treat stick with a twisting motion, ensuring they are secure. Lay the assembled pops on waxed paper to prepare for coating.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate morsels or vanilla-flavored almond bark in the microwave according to package directions. Be careful not to overheat to prevent thickening. Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable shortening or coconut oil to thin the chocolate slightly if needed, but do not add any liquids as this will cause the chocolate to seize.
  3. Coat Marshmallows in White Chocolate: Pour the melted white chocolate over the marshmallows, coating them completely and allowing excess to drip back into the bowl to avoid mess.
  4. Roll in Graham Crackers: Immediately roll the chocolate-coated marshmallows in crushed graham crackers until fully covered. Place the marshmallow pops back onto waxed paper and allow them to set.
  5. Drizzle White Chocolate: Transfer any remaining melted white chocolate to a piping bag or a zip-top freezer bag, snip a small corner, and drizzle the chocolate over the marshmallow pops to create a decorative finish. Let this set completely before proceeding.
  6. Melt Milk Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate morsels or chocolate-flavored almond bark in the microwave using the package directions and the same precautions as with the white chocolate. Optionally thin with vegetable shortening or coconut oil if needed.
  7. Drizzle Milk Chocolate and Add Toppings: Transfer the melted milk chocolate to a piping or freezer bag, snip the corner, and drizzle over the marshmallow pops. Immediately sprinkle mini marshmallow bits on top to add texture and visual appeal.
  8. Set and Serve: Allow the marshmallow pops to rest on waxed paper until all coatings have fully set before packaging or serving, ensuring a neat and delicious presentation.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overheat the chocolate to prevent thickening and seizing.
  • Add only vegetable shortening or coconut oil to thin chocolate; avoid adding water or other liquids.
  • You can use regular or jumbo marshmallows depending on your preference.
  • For easy cleanup, lay pops on waxed paper during the coating and setting process.
  • These pops are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
