  • Author: Simon
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings (one crescent roll dough pack with 8 bites) 1x

Description

Iowa Party Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer featuring a savory ground beef and cream cheese filling seasoned with ranch mix, wrapped in buttery crescent roll dough and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for gatherings and casual entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Dough & Topping

  • 1 package crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat to avoid greasiness.
  3. Add Cream Cheese and Seasonings: Stir in the softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the beef. Continue cooking for 2–3 minutes until the cream cheese fully melts and the mixture is well combined and creamy.
  4. Assemble Bites: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each triangle. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal, forming bite-sized pockets.
  5. Prepare for Baking: Arrange the stuffed crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops evenly with the melted butter for a rich, golden finish.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Serve: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then serve warm and enjoy your delicious Iowa Party Bites!

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to blend smoothly with the beef mixture.
  • You can substitute ranch seasoning mix with your favorite seasoning blends as desired.
  • Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or ketchup for added flavor.
  • These bites can be prepared ahead of time and baked right before serving.
  • To make them spicier, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce into the beef filling.
