  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 4 tablespoons whole milk
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook Garlic: In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant and just starting to soften and brown.
  2. Toast Rice: Add the rinsed and drained rice to the skillet. Stir continuously for 3-4 minutes over medium heat to toast the rice on all sides, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Add Broth and Seasonings: Pour in the chicken broth, then sprinkle the onion powder and granulated garlic into the skillet. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Simmer Rice: Reduce the heat to low and loosely cover the skillet. Stir every few minutes to prevent the rice from sticking. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the rice is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  5. Finish with Butter, Cheese and Milk: Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon butter, the shredded parmesan cheese, and whole milk until fully blended and creamy.
  6. Season and Serve: Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
