Ingredients
Scale
Dough Ingredients
- 1¾ cups pre-shredded/grated mozzarella
- ¾ cup almond meal/flour
- 2 tbsp natural unsweetened yoghurt
- 1 egg
- ½ tbsp baking powder
Topping Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 191°C (375°F) to prepare for baking the naan bread.
- Melt Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, lightly mix together mozzarella, almond flour, and yogurt. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then microwave for an additional 30 seconds until melted and combined.
- Combine Egg Mixture: In a separate small bowl, mix the egg and baking powder thoroughly.
- Make the Dough: Fold the egg mixture into the melted cheese mixture with a silicone spatula or spoon until fully combined into a dough.
- Shape the Naan: Divide the dough into 10 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten with your hands to an oval shape about 8mm (1/4 inch) thick. Arrange flattened pieces evenly spaced on a baking sheet.
- Bake the Naan: Place the baking sheet on the top rack of the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges begin to turn golden brown.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: While the naan bakes, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and chopped parsley together to make the garlic butter brush.
- Brush and Finish Baking: Remove the naan from the oven, brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each piece, then return to the oven for an additional 1-2 minutes to golden the tops.
- Serve Warm: Remove naan from the oven and serve warm for the best flavor experience.
