- 1 ½ cups sour cream
- 2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey jack cheese blend
- ½ cup sliced black olives
- 1 cup diced cherry tomatoes (or grape or Roma tomatoes)
- ⅓ cup sliced green onions
Instructions

- Make the Avocado Layer: Mash the peeled and seeded avocados in a bowl. Stir in the lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, onion powder, salt, and ground cayenne pepper until well combined. Spread this creamy avocado mixture evenly over the bean layer.
- Add Sour Cream Layer: Carefully spoon and spread the sour cream over the avocado layer, creating a smooth and even layer.
- Top with Cheese and Fresh Ingredients: Sprinkle the finely shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend evenly on top of the sour cream layer. Then scatter the sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions as the final garnish.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve, allowing the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers.
Notes
- You can substitute taco seasoning with homemade seasoning for a fresher taste.
- For spicier dip, add extra cayenne pepper or use jalapeños in the tomato layer.
- To keep the avocado layer vibrant green, add a little extra lime juice and cover tightly with plastic wrap directly on the surface before refrigerating.
- This dip is best served within 24 hours for optimal freshness.
- Feel free to customize the layers by adding or omitting toppings according to your preference.
