Instructions
- Clean Mushrooms: Gently wipe the mushrooms with a cloth to remove any dirt, avoiding washing them directly under water, as mushrooms absorb moisture which can affect cooking texture.
- Melt Butter in Pan: In a large pan set over medium-high heat, melt the butter or add a splash of oil to prepare for sautéing.
- Sauté Mushrooms: Add the cleaned mushrooms to the pan. Cook, stirring regularly, until they turn golden brown. If the mushrooms release a lot of liquid, allow the liquid to simmer and evaporate, concentrating their flavor.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the crushed garlic, oregano, and chili flakes. Cook for about one minute until fragrant to enhance the flavor base.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the cream, lemon juice, and grated Parmesan cheese, stirring to combine all ingredients evenly.
