Chocolate Pretzel Trees Recipe

  • Author: Simon
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 chocolate pretzel trees 1x

Description

Delightfully festive Chocolate Pretzel Trees combine the crunchiness of mini pretzel sticks with the sweet smoothness of melted almond bark, decorated with colorful sprinkles or mini sugar pearls. These no-bake treats require minimal ingredients and effort, making them perfect for holiday gatherings or as charming edible decorations.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 24 oz. almond bark (or candy melts)
  • 108 mini pretzel sticks
  • Sprinkles or mini sugar pearls (optional)

Instructions

  1. Arrange the pretzels: Lay out the mini pretzel sticks in an arrow formation on a wax paper-lined baking sheet to form the structure of each tree.
  2. Melt almond bark: Place the almond bark or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between sessions until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Prepare melted almond bark for drizzling: Spoon the melted almond bark into a ziplock bag and snip a very small corner off to create a piping bag for controlled drizzling.
  4. Drizzle over pretzels: Starting at the top of each pretzel tree formation, drizzle the melted almond bark downward to cover and bind the pretzels. Fill in any gaps by repeating the drizzle process to ensure the trees hold together well.
  5. Decorate: While the almond bark is still wet, sprinkle mini sugar pearls or your choice of sprinkles over the top for added festive flair.
  6. Set the trees: Let the pretzel trees rest at room temperature for about 20 minutes until the almond bark is fully hardened and set.

Notes

  • Use almond bark or candy melts of your favorite flavor or color to customize your trees.
  • If you don’t have a ziplock bag, a spoon can be used for drizzling but may be less precise.
  • Make sure to evenly space the pretzels in the arrow shape for best structural integrity.
  • These treats are best enjoyed within a few days and can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container.
  • To speed up setting, place the completed trees in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
