  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 oz Cool Whip (1 large tub), divided

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 boxes chocolate instant pudding (small box, 3.9 oz each)
  • 3 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Nut Crust: Mix the all-purpose flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans thoroughly. Press this mixture evenly onto the bottom of a 9×14 inch baking dish to form a crust.
  2. Bake Crust: Bake the crust at 350°F (177°C) for 15 minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely to room temperature before proceeding.
  3. Create Whipped Cream Cheese Layer: Using an electric mixer, beat together the room temperature cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and well combined. Add half of the Cool Whip and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Assemble Second Layer: Spread the cream cheese mixture gently over the cooled crust layer. Allow this layer to set slightly before continuing to the next layer.
  5. Make Chocolate Pudding: In a bowl, whisk together the two boxes of chocolate instant pudding with 3 cups of milk until smooth and fully combined.
  6. Add Pudding Layer: Pour the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer and spread gently to cover evenly. Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill until the pudding layer is fully set.
  7. Top with Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining Cool Whip evenly over the chilled pudding layer to complete the dessert.
