Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Burger Dressing
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons diced dill pickles
- ½ tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Salad and Toppings
- 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes
- 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1 cup pre-sliced dill pickle chips
- 1 cup freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 cups cooked frozen french fries (regular cut or your favorite type)
Instructions
- Cook French Fries: Prepare the frozen french fries according to the package instructions. Once cooked and crispy, set them aside while you prepare the rest of the bowl.
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef along with onion powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and paprika. Stir often and cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Make Burger Dressing: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, diced dill pickles, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is uniform in color and completely combined.
- Assemble the Bowl: Place the chopped romaine lettuce in a large serving bowl. Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onions, dill pickle chips, cooked ground beef, cooked french fries, and shredded sharp cheddar cheese around the edges of the lettuce for a colorful presentation.
- Dress and Serve: Drizzle the prepared burger dressing evenly over the entire salad bowl. Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast of warm beef and fries with fresh vegetables and creamy dressing.
Notes
- You can customize the type of fries used; sweet potato fries or waffle fries also work well.
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise in the dressing.
- Adding avocado or sliced jalapeños can give the bowl extra creaminess or heat.
- Make sure to drain the ground beef well to avoid a greasy burger bowl.
- This recipe can be easily doubled to serve a larger crowd.
