  • 1 cup milk (of choice)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp oil (or applesauce)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Dry Mix: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, thoroughly stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Prepare Wet Ingredients and Batter: Add the finely diced apples, milk, oil (or applesauce), and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix gently until you form a smooth batter, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Optional Cinnamon Swirl: For a cinnamon swirl, mix 1/2 tsp cinnamon into 2 tbsp of milk and swirl this mixture into the batter right before baking to create a marbled effect.
  4. Transfer to Pan and Bake: Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan, then pour the batter in evenly, smoothing the top. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
